Colorado: Top of the USA
It’s difficult to put in one post the captivating and wondrous beauty of Colorado, but we are going to try. Colorado is the highest state in the United States and it is an adventurer’s paradise. Its snowcapped mountains are some the world’s top ski and snowboard destinations in places like Aspen, Breckinridge, Telluride, and Steamboat Springs to name a few. You will find some of the best kept slopes in the world here. If you are a hiking enthusiast or a serious professional, Colorado has every level imaginable.

At the highest difficulty you can try your skills at many of the fourteeners throughout the state, meaning mountains that are fourteen thousand thousand feet high and more. However if you are not so much a snow person, come in the summer and spring months and make your way to the rivers for kayaking and some of the world’s best fishing as well.

You’ll need to rent a car to see the stunning landscapes Colorado has to offer, but it is more than worth it to say the least. Take a drive up pikes peak, just a 15 minute drive from Colorado Springs and be ready to want to stay forever. Feeling like you are on the top of the world, as you often do in Colorado, you will see the lush forests and plains below and if you go in the fall you will see the yellows, reds, oranges and greens below as the leaves change color.

Another must see is Rocky Mountain National Park which is reachable by Denver, the capital city and Boulder as well. Besides it high peaks, rugged valleys, and lush grasslands, Colorado also boasts the largest sand dunes in North America. Yes you read that correctly Colorado has deserts too. In the Great Sand Dunes National Park you can even rent a special board at the Grand Sand Dunes Oasis to try your luck at riding it back down the dunes once you make it to the top

Colorado isn’t only for lovers of nature and adventure though. In the capital city Denver and the rest of the major cities one can find the finest dining, incredible shopping, super hotels, and all the trappings of wealthy living and often times even more so in the ski resort towns throughout the state you will find the most out of this world views from the comforts of some of the most luxurious homes and hotels in the world if you have the money for it.

Overall, one can see and experience the majority of what Colorado has to offer from a modest budget to the highest and everywhere in between. This state is a bucket list destination for sure, and you should get it checked off the list asap. Get ready to have your mind blown! See you in Colorado!
