Dubai: City of the Future

Trajectory To Number 1

A thriving metropolis in the desert with stunning beach views and a skyline that boasts the tallest building in the world has become one of the globe’s leading financial hubs. It is the undisputed leader in finance in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and continues to innovate and grow faster than its leading competitors around the world. It has become known as the most popular beach city for digital nomads around the world, and had the fastest mobile internet in the world as of the first quarter of 2021, something in much greater need since the pandemic began.

Dubai also has a revolutionary outlook on how the city is run, opting for making everything digital, including all governmental institutions whose services are now all available through apps. Consumer data is collected to fine tune the way the city runs with the main indicators being the happiness of the population, efficiency, and safety, and it is working. Today Dubai is one of the happiest, safest, and cleanest cities in the world quickly becoming synonymous with the standard of the future digitised world. If that wasn’t enough there are no income taxes, and businesses are exempt from corporate income tax for the first 50 years along with other enticing perks. Its financial services rival the likes of Singapore, London, Paris, New York, etc. and at the rate of its innovation is on track to become one of the best if not the best destination for global finance anywhere on the planet.

Gold!

Dubai is not only synonymous with global finance, tall buildings, the future, etc. but is also famously known as the City of Gold with gold being its most lucrative export after oil. Between 20-40% of the word’s gold stocks pass through Dubai every year, where an industrial scale operation of processing gold from start to finish has been developed over the past decades. Foreigners from around the globe flock to Dubai’s Gold Souk (Market) where you can find some of the most competitive prices of gold in the world in the form of Jewellery, bars, etc. and buy it tax free to boot. Add to that the world class high-security gold vaults built throughout the country, and you can see why Dubai has become both a digital and physical finance hub of the world. Dubai’s location tucked neatly between the east and west also makes it ideally suited for the gold trade which Dubai’s gold brokers gladly take advantage of. Opening from 6AM to 11PM it is one of the few exchanges in the world that can catch every time zone from Australia to the West coast of the USA.

All Of The Nations In One

The UAE has a population of 10 million people, but the actual number of citizens is just over 1 million while the other 9 million constitute 200 different nationalities from around the world. As you can imagine the words “tax free” attract both skilled and non-skilled workers alike whose wages are either much lower in their home countries, or taxes are so high that having a profession or business is not cost effective

We can count on one hand the number of places in the world where you can hear several languages being spoken in a five minute walk or dozens in one metro car on any given day at any given time, and Dubai is one of them. As you can imagine, the types of food are just as diverse in Dubai where the number of delicious restaurants number in the tens of thousands. Mega malls dot the landscape of the city with incredible attractions within like water parks, ski slopes, giant aquariums and underwater zoos, world class movie theatres and every brand you have heard of and have not from around the world.

Adventure or Luxury?

If malls and restaurants are not your thing then try a zip-line from the top of one of Dubai’s skyscrapers, parasailing, jet skis, skydiving, dune bashing through the desert, camel riding, horse back riding, Formula 1 racing, and the list goes on.

If you are more suited towards the finer things in life and price is not an obstacle then a night in the world’s only 7-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab will suit you well. For the low low price of 24,000 USD a night you will be treated like royalty in every sense of the way, but better. There are other amazing options if that price tag is a little too high with prices to fit every budget, and if you are staying for more than a few days, renting an apartment on certain well known applications is much more cost effective with more space, fewer fees, and with a lot more options to choose from. Whatever suits your fancy, Dubai has it whether you want to stay for a day or make it your knew home.

WORLD EXPO!

Starting October 1st 2021 the World Expo is being held in Dubai until March 2022 where more than 192 countries will be represented as businesses, corporations, start-ups, and innovators of every kind from around the world will be setting up shop to show off the latest technological innovations, and solutions to the biggest problems facing the globe today. Billions and billions of dollars will be exchanged at what is shaping up to be ground zero for the next generation of companies as we head into the global economic reset and shift towards a more green and digital economy. If you can make it, come and see the future.

COVID Restrictions

Currently, only a negative PCR test within 72 hours of your flight is needed to enter Dubai from most countries around the world. To travel to other cities in the UAE like Abu Dhabi there are more restrictions, but Dubai is ready to receive tourists and visitors for the coming expo, and as the most vaccinated country in the world, they believe they are ready to take on the challenge. Let the adventures begin!
