Puerto Vallarta
Tired of lockdowns, facemasks, and feeling like a prisoner in your own home? Look no further, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has got you covered. With its international airport you can get here for a reasonable price from anywhere in the world, and when you get here, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The picturesque port town is home to beautiful white beaches, cobblestone streets, beautiful Cathedrals with a backdrop of lush green mountains. Along with its rustic beauty and storybook landscape whatever you came for, they have it.

If you are up for some trekking, waterfalls, and secret beaches, not to mention jet skis, kayaks, parasailing, oh and did we mention the fireworks? Every night without fail, ships carrying fireworks launch some serious ordinance into the night sky from the bay that ushers in the night with a bang. If none of that suits your fancy, there are night clubs, bars, trendy cafes, incredible restaurants, and the Malecon. The Malecon is a walkway that takes you along the beach, always full of people by day and night as you walk by restaurants, food vendors, trinkets of all sorts, shops, clubs, street artists, Mariachi bands, sculptures, etc. and stretches the better part of a mile plus. Whether you are here for a few days or a few weeks Puerto Vallarta has all the bases covered!.
Mirador De La Cruz

If you are looking for the best view of the city, the surrounding mountains and the bay that stretches gradually for miles on the horizon, La Cruz lookout point is worth the climb. By climb we mean the nearly 300 steps it takes to get to the top, but for one of the best views and awe inspiring sunsets you have ever seen, it’s worth it. Plus it is located at the heart of Puerto Vallarta and walking distance from most places and no more than a 5 to 10 minute taxi drive or Uber from where you are staying.
Hotels, Houses, Villas, Apartments
If you want an all inclusive hotel experience with all of the fun, food and leisure you can handle, it’s here. If you are looking for something more in the center of town we recommend getting an Airbnb which is generally cheaper than a good hotel. After being here for two weeks we have been in hotels and many types of Airbnbs, from modern apartments to traditional style homes, with both unbeatable ocean views and without. So whatever you’re feeling, it’s here. Our advice, be sure to check out the reviews! They can be lifesavers. Look for construction nearby, or noisy neighbours. We have had both.

Also, make sure you look at the fees they charge. Often times they can be a little pricey, but the trick, if you want to stay for a week or more is to book just a couple days to see if you like it, then talk to the owner or manager and usually they can extend your stay further without those fees, usually, the pros of hotels is the service you receive, restaurants on site, usually a good view and some included beach amenities like kayaks, paddle boards, etc, but at the moment can really be sticklers on masks due to a lot of different factors which many people have complained makes it feel a bit stifling for being on vacation. Airbnbs also have pros and cons. Firstly, no room service unless you cook it yourself or bring it back from a restaurant nearby or decide to get takeaway, but they generally have a full kitchen. As far as views go, you can find stunning views of the bay with a balcony or two in two and three bedroom apartments for a fraction of the price of a hotel with a view, so if your looking for your money to go a little farther with a group plus some perks, Airbnb’s the way to go.
Mask Mandate?
The mask mandate is optional, and even in most stores they won’t make you wear your mask, but if they ask its best to have one on you just to be polite if you don’t fancy wearing one. People in Puerto Vallarta don’t complain if you have one, for the most part, so pretty much no maskcrimination one way or the other.

COVID-19 Negative Test Or Vaccine Needed To Enter?
No and no. Period. Do check your airline carrier however, as a select few have made it mandatory for you to have one or the other. Mexico might also be on a list in your country where you will need to have one or the other to return without needing to quarantine. Puerto Vallarta has very modern centers where you can get your negative test, vaccine, and even blood test to see if you have anti-bodies.
Home Away From Home
